From January 1 2010 the museum is a part of Statens musiksamlingar, Sweden's national institution for music, theatre and dance. Library, archive and phototeque will for the time being still be located in Gäddviken. Exhibitions will take place at Musikmuseet (the Stockholm Music Museum). On April 16 2010 a new exhibition will open there, featuring not only the Theatre Museum but also collections from Marionettmuseet (the Marionett Museum).

Drawing, Gösta Ekman in Hamlet 1934

Drawing. Photo: STM

This drawing was found in the programme for Shakespeare's Hamlet at Vasateatern 1934 (starring Gösta Ekman). On the front page of the drawing you can read: "Till Suzanne 29/1 1934" [For Suzanne 29/1 1934]. The drawing, with a ticket for the performance, was apparently a gift to said Suzanne from her aunt.
