Archives and special collections

The museum's archives and special collections are now part of  Musik- och teaterbiblioteket but will remain at Gäddviken. The collections of archival material currently located at Musik- och Teatermuseet at Sibyllegatan will be moved here during 2010. During the fall our premises will be adapted to house the additional material. This means that visits to the archive will be by appointment only  - please contact archivist Marianne Seid if you plan a visit or if you have any questions.

The archives and special collections reflect Swedish theatre history from late 18th century to present day. Our collections include records of individuals and organizations, a large collection of press cuttings and collections of manuscripts, theatre programmes and posters. All of our material is freely accessible. We also have an extensive reference library, copying facilities and a reading room.
